The reason why we don’t have tech specs in the modern day is because Optimus Prime got a 5 for speed and sued the company.
You know, Tech Specs are stupid. I mean, should we really define someone by a number? I think we’re all 10’s in our own special way. (Cheesiness intensifies.)

Descriptions actually tell you who the characters are, and sometimes it works, other times you get a Generations Skullgrin Pussy with guns all over him… makes sense… a lot of sense.

I always thought bios was the one thing that made Transformers toys superior to other robot toy lines in the 80s. Fun fact, the original solicitation for GoBots toys had bios in their 1984 toy catalog, but the bios didn’t make it to the toy boxes! What I find annoying is that TFW2005 has moved most of the club related news to the “conventions and get togethers” sub-forum, where no one reads it. If start any club related news posts in their news section, they move it to the conventions forum!

I have seen BotCon 2015 red Hoist and black Skids 2-pack on ebay for $72 shipped. Similar prices for Optimus Prime and Hound 2-pack. Stepper and Packrat for under $40 shipped. You just need to shop around.
I’ll tell you this Duron, I would just be happy with one little figure, but $80 for a deluxe repaint is an automatic rejection. I know it’s a convention exclusive and more rare then the basic toys, but for me, it doesn’t justify it. Combine that with scalpers, and you have a mess of expensive toys that I pass on it to and go after the retail version.
I’ve often said the best days of Botcon were pre-1995.
I find it annoying that podcasts who claim to discuss “all things Transformers” don’t cover any club comics, magazine, or stories. They don’t see it as “real” fiction.
In all honesty, with my podcast (not promoting) I’m not too into comics and such, but I’d love to have certain guest to finally do an IDW cast. I have a few comics, but it’s not much.
Also with the convention stuff, isn’t the packaging for the botcon toys just like Mcdonald’s kids meal bags and nothing more?
You mean there is more to Transformers than the toys? I have all of the hardcover IDW comic collections, but I have a hard time getting into the stories for whatever reason.
