Masterpiece to me means the best possible representation of a character in both bot and alt mode. As far as Tracks. MP vs Alternator Tracks which is best?
Finally got a chance to listen to the episode.
IMO masterpiece means best representation of a figure. It will never be “perfect” because everyone has different tastes/critiques of what a “perfect” figure is.
I won’t pick on poor Tracks, but I’ll use Dx9 Invisible for example. I watched & read reviews on the figure. It got bad reviews because it wouldn’t stand up, wrong scale, head too small etc. I had a chance to get one at an excellent price. I love that figure. Absolutely no issues standing, will hold any pose. Is it perfect? No. It does have issues for me. They could have engineered the cockpit to slide down behind the head, front wheels to fold away, & panels to cover forearm gaps. But overall, for my collection it’s close enough to be Masterpiece Mirage.
Tracks does have a very good robot silhouette. The floating head, open shoulders were a disappointment, it seemed rushed through.
Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Tracks being designed during the designer transition? That could explain the “unfinished” feeling that figure emanates.
Keep up the great podcasts!

MP to me, all the way, although I do like Alternators Tracks.
